CIR is the fulfillment of a dream...it was formed in 1994 as a tribute to Leonard Linke, who had Down's Syndrome. Len enjoyed golfing, bowling and other sports but had limited opportunities to participate in these activities. His family decided to fill this void and began a bowling league for people with and without disabilities - recreating together! Today, more than 1700 youth, teens and adults participate each year in over 75 different recreational activities and field trips!

CIR provides recreational opportunities to participants from all over Southwest Michigan, primarily Calhoun County, from our home in Battle Creek MI.
